Shut Up & Put a Bird on it

So I'm going to start this thing where I don't smile in every photo. Remember when I apologized/warned in my VERY FIRST BLOG POST EVER here about my bitchface? Let's just say I'm going to own it and work it and try not to look so mean when I'm not smiling.

This week, I am packing for a trip to Milwaukee! I'm really excited, it's beautiful and weird and just plain awesome there. I'm really trying not to pack my entire closet, but it's really hard when I'll be gone for an entire week. Any tips on avoiding overpacking?!

By the way, can I just say that I'm really super humbled and excited that I've made some blog buddies in my short time here on blogger? You gals rock :)

By the way, that awesome scar on my right leg is from a motorcycle. I was going to pose differently, but it kind of makes me seem like a badass motorcyclist and not a little Italian Vespa driver.

PS- My hair was still really wet here, but here's a little sneak peek into the helmet friendly hairstyles post I'm working on :)

  1. Such a cute outfit (: I especially love your top and your clutch. So adorable! You're doing it right when it comes to blog networking. Had I worked harder to reach out to more bloggers (and use bloglovin), I probably would have felt a larger sense of community when I started blogging (over a year and a half ago! Yikes!) I'm so happy for you, and your blog readers will only get larger over time!

    1. Amber, thank you so much! I actually use bloglovin' a lot less than I just use my blogger...It's a little more convenient, haha.

  4. That top is adorable! Ive been to Milwaukee once and it was fun but it was also winter and couldn't find anything else to do other then the art museum! You should do a Milwaukee trip post so maybe I can get some ideas from you! Cause actually Erica and I are friends and both don't live far away from Milwaukee. I got a motorcycle burn when I was a kid also, from the exhaust pipe! Surprisingly I don't know how I was actually allowed on it cause I was like 10 at the time and I don't have a scar anymore, its faded over the years.

    1. thank you! I've actually never been to Milwaukee in the winter and I don't know if it's on my list of places to visit when it's subzero outside lol. I've never been to the art museum either! SO many things to do here in the summer though. I've been thinking of doing a travel guide thing for Milwaukee so other people can see how amazing this city is!

oh and...it's good to know that my scar will fade in like 10+ years lol.

  5. Gahh birds! I have so many bird-print tops and dresses it's not even funny. I think it's about what birds signify. Freedom. Independence. Getting away. And they look cute on everything.

Milwaukee sounds fun. I've never been, but have heard good things. To avoid overpacking, I just try to think of staples I can wear on repeat if needed. And always dress in layers so you can adjust to the weather.

    1. Yes, birds for life!
I kept your comment in mind as I packed! I think I did an okay job...Despite having one large suitcase and a smaller one for shoes. I definitely overpacked my shoes, though hahah

  6. To say I am hair challenged in an understatement. I can't believe your hair was wet there and you still made it look that good. I can't wait to see your tutorial on how you did it!
