The Anti-Pants Movement?

I don't know when it happened, but it just occured to me that I don't really wear pants that much anymore! My summer uniform last year was a pair of colorful crop pants with a button up shirt because I was grindin' away at work 40 hours a week. This summer, I've had all of my skirts and dresses on heavy rotation.

I've been fawning over these beauties from eshakti for some time now. They have a buy 2- get 1 free deal going on until midnight tonight. I think I might just go for it, because at about $60 a pop, you really can't go wrong. I've heard from other bloggers that eshakti's quality is unmatched. (Plus, they do custom styling + sizing for just $7.50!) I'm really loving the fun midriff-baring halter + skirt set, it would be perfect for a day on the boat!

I talked about my fear of walking in heels again in my post about summer goals, and I think I'm ready to do it again. Those super fun-kinda retro heels from ModCloth aren't out yet, but as soon as they are...I'm buying!

These Birkenstocks are also from ModCloth and even though their $119 price tag is a little steep for a college student, they have awesome reviews and also provide comfort and lots of foot support- and after a year of flats...I'm in need of some serious arch support.

Since I'm heading to Myrtle Beach in August for a week of fun, I really like the Salt Water Sandals in navy blue. I tend to pick footwear that is pretty neutral- and I've just adopted navy blue as a new neutral in my closet :)

Hope you all are having a joyous Tuesday!

PS-

This super talented girl painted her own prom dress! Kinda makes me wish I would've went to prom!

  1. Ah Im with you there. I don't think Ive worn a pair of pants in months (besides like sweats in the house or pjs) but when Im out and about its dresses all the way and maybe a skirt here or there. I love how effortless and flattering they are. Ive been dying just dying to try an eshakti dress!

  2. I vowed to stop wearing pants (unless absolutely necessary) over 2 years ago and I have not looked back. I just don't feel feminine in pants anymore. Dresses and skirts make me feel so girly and confident.

P.S. Navy blue is totally a neutral (:

    1. I know! The confidence that you get in a dress or a skirt is unmatched and when I'm in pants I feel like a blob. hahah

  3. Nothing wrong with no pants, right? ;) Skirts and dresses, especially during the summer, are so airy and freeing. Pants. Meh. Not so much.

That crop top dress on the right looks so cute, but with some sex appeal too. And Birkenstock sandals seriously rule. That's the only thing I wore on my feet for a few summers, until they finally started falling apart. You can usually find them at Famous Footwear around $60. That's how I got mine. As much as I love ModCloth, they don't always have the best prices.

  4. My summer uniform is definitely dresses. I love eShakti, and actually have dress #2. Did you end up purchasing during their sale? As far as walking in heels go, there are some seriously cute low to mid heel, easy to walk in styles out now. I love the ones with a more retro feel to them, B.A.I.T. footwear is amazing for those types of styles
