Let's All Move To The Beach

Hey there, I'm back! Myrtle Beach was a lot of fun and of course I packed way too much because 80% of the time, I was in a bathing suit. The waves were really big because of Bertha (props to whoever gave a tropical storm THAT name), and I got to play around in this cute two-piece by swimsuitsforall.

When I got this bathing suit a few days before we left, I was so excited because I've never worn a two-piece bathing suit before. Trying it on was a dream compared to normal bathing suit try-ons, and it definitely fits true to size because you can order separate sizes for the top/bottom. I packed it away and drove through the windy roads in the mountains to get down to SC where I put it to the real test.

While I was busy playing in the waves, I'm pretty sure everyone in the water saw my business. I kept having to pull up my top, but my bottoms actually stayed in tact and never threatened to wash away(big butt ADVANTAGE). Other than that one complaint that could easily be fixed with an underwire or a better strap, this suit was aaaamazing. It made me feel confident on the beach for the very first time.

This trip was so fun, and I'm excited to share more photos soon. Have you gone on vacation this summer? Details!!!

PS- Thank you to Super Style Me, Annabel and Lee, The Red Lip Chronicles, The Lacuna Stitch, Lauren Blair, and Thriftburgher for being awesome guest posters last week. You ladies rock!

  1. This is a cute swimming suit! There's no where to swim so I rarely buy them, but swimming suits can be annoying to shop for, so glad this one really works out!

  2. You look fabulous! I used to be a strictly one-piece swimsuit kinda girl, but I recently discovered that two-pieces are just so much more practical and comfortable for me. In any case, a vacation where you're in your swimsuit 80% of the time has got to be a great one (even better if the suit has polka dots!) I haven't swum in the ocean in a long time, but I got to take some dips in lakes this summer.

    Welcome back!

  5. I love your style and I'd seen your pictures before on ModCloth's style gallery. I found your blog through Lauren Blair's blog post, and I'm so happy I did! I love your bathing suit and you're right, it's so nice to be able to order separate sizes for top vs bottom (my bottom is bigger so I feel like one-piece's never work for me!). Polka dots are one of my favorite fashion prints :).

  6. You look amazing! I bought a very similar looking swimsuit from Modcloth earlier this summer. I love it, even though I only wore it once. It's black with white polka dots, high waist. (This one.) Great minds think alike, right?

  7. Oh my goodness!!!! Girl, this suit looks amazing on you! Like, seriously. It gives your body such an amazing shape, and it looks like it was made for you. So darling (: I went to the beach for a few days back in the beginning of July, and I have been wanting to go back ever since. It's such an amazing feeling to just walk around careless without worrying about how your hair/make up looks and just relaxing.
